About us

Mission and Vision

Stichting Jungle was established to support and facilitate the artistic development of Jungle by Night, while developing and producing projects in the field of arts and culture to bring music, theater, and other art forms to the widest possible audience. As a foundation, we create an environment where artistic innovation and cultural exploration can flourish.

Objectives

The foundation aims to achieve its goals through:

• Organizing, developing, and performing musical shows, studio recordings, festivals, and other artistic expressions
• Organizing and developing workshops
• Providing courses in arts and music
• Collaborating with other artists, theaters, and cultural institutions

Board

The board of Stichting Jungle exists of 5 members with all total different backgrounds to bring diverse perspectives and expertise to support the foundation's mission and activities.

Governance

Board Regulations

The board regulations were established on October 23, 2021, in Amsterdam, supplementing the foundation's statutes. These regulations ensure proper governance and transparent operations.

Board Composition & Independence

The board is composed to ensure members can function independently as competent directors, supervisors, and advisors. Members are selected based on a profile description that outlines required qualifications and expertise.

Key Governance Principles

• The board meets at least once per year without the presence of band members or operational management
• All board positions are unpaid
• Board members must disclose any additional positions (paid or unpaid) that might create conflicts of interest
• The board conducts annual self-evaluations
• The board follows both the Cultural Governance Code and the Code for Cultural Diversity and Inclusion

Board Structure

Our board consists of five members who serve for a maximum of two four-year terms and meet at least four times per year. All board positions are unpaid. Members are selected based on their expertise in areas crucial to the foundation's mission. The board operates with a clear division of roles:

• Chairman - responsible for overall leadership and external representation
• Secretary - handles administrative duties and documentation
• Treasurer - oversees financial management
• General board members - provide additional expertise and support

Financial Oversight

The board meets at least once per year to discuss and decide on:

• Strategy and general policy
• Financial status and budget
• Annual accounts
• Administrative organization and internal control systems

Transparency

The board reports annually on its compliance with the Cultural Governance Code and the Code for Cultural Diversity and Inclusion through our annual reports and policy documents, which are published on our website. These documents provide detailed insight into our financial management, activities, and any deviations from these codes.
